About us:

Alpakkagaarden - Østre Kjærnes is a unique place and we who work there believe in the value of facilitating the farm environment for people of all ages. We offer a wide range of activities that include farm work, animal care, therapy, events, farm shop, ADL training, outdoor activities, cooking, serving, gardening, forestry, and much more. We have created a safe and inclusive environment where our activities, especially in interaction with the animals, help individual students and groups to develop both personally and socially.

We believe in recognition, care and relationships as the key to development and well-being. Our dedicated staff have broad expertise and are committed to creating lasting positive changes in the lives of our participants.

We now need more good employees for our Inn på tunet offer, Alternative school arena for individual students and groups of students from primary schools in Moss and Våler. 

We are proud of our "Gårdskole", which offers an alternative school arena for children and young people between the ages of 10 and 18 who have challenges in primary school or have dropped out. Our goal is to improve everyday school life for these students and prevent future dropouts from upper secondary school. We want to include, thrive, and promote learning, good health, social skills and work purposefully together with the home schools, with a practical approach to compulsory subjects in school.

You'll work with dedicated employees, wonderful people and animals, get plenty of fresh air and no two days are the same. Competitive working conditions. 

Qualifications:

• Interest and commitment to working with children and young people.
• Experience with farm work, animal care or a relevant field (carpenter, mechanic or have good knowledge of horses) 
• Ability to build positive relationships and create a supportive environment.
• See solutions rather than problems. 
• Over 18 years of age and class B driver's license. 
• Flexible and willing to participate in different activities.
• Relevant education and/or personal suitability. 
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Police certificate before taking up employment.
